Let It Kill You
LET IT KILL YOU is an elevated horror feature and series that frames werewolf lore as a metaphor for sexual transformation. It follows Rafe, a millennial social outcast, coming to grips with his sexual identity as he faces scorn from his close-minded hometown because he insists there’s a werewolf in their midst. The only person who believes him is mysterious ex-military drifter, Aidan, who arrives in town chasing after the same beast. The blossoming romance cements their status as outcasts who threaten the backward-thinking status quo. As the body count rises, the two form a rare bond and try to solve the mystery behind these attacks. Soon they start to wonder what’s more dangerous—the werewolf in the woods or the residents of this town.
LET IT KILL YOU is currently in development as both a feature film and TV series. Molecule Productions shot a big-budget proof of concept/short film highlighting Aidan’s backstory. The short film features epic practical effects (including the werewolf), fantastic VFX by Fuse FX, and sound mixed by the Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated Christian Minkler.
At the 2018 Oscars, Guillermo Del Toro inspired us when he said, “Anyone that is dreaming of a parable using the genre of fantasy and horror to tell the stories about the things that are real in the world today, you can do it. This is a door. Kick it open and come in.” That is our goal with this elevated werewolf tale with a remarkable LGBTQ love story at its core. We want to open people’s minds while tearing out their hearts and scaring them to death!
